Katherine KesterOriginally born in Nashville, Tennessee, Katherine Kester has lived in Indiana for most of her life. She has been creating art since she was a toddler, with the support and love of her parents. Her husband continues to encourage her creativity. Currently, Katherine is an art teacher at Elwood Jr/Sr High School where she teaches a variety of classes: Photography, Painting/Drawing, Ceramics, and Printmaking. She graduated from Liberty Christian, and Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Education and minor in English.
She lives in Anderson, with her husband, and pets. In her free time, she creates her artwork inspired by nature. She takes pictures in the backyard or in fields and gardens and then creates original artwork from them. Katherine loves combining the organic with geometric compositions as well as using bright colors and slight abstraction to make unique pieces. Katherine loves spending time outside taking pictures of nature and then using them as inspiration for her pieces. |
