Meet our Current Resident Artists

Picture

Caryn Gorman

I create with what I have. I see potential in everything. I am a collector. I am an observer. I admire and respect our Natural World. I am perplexed by humanity. I crave to learn. I am inspired by simplicity. I am always changing. My creations are a reflection of these things.

Phillip George

I grew up in the spacious midwest with a great curiosity for the life and systems around me. This curiosity eventually took me to the other side of the country and on a journey to explore as much as I could in the brief time I have been alive. Now that I'm back in Madison County, that exploration continues here. Opportunity for creating is always present, and I believe that what we create should be a response to how we feel and think about the world around us. My work is not sophisticated, and I am not concerned about pleasing a particular group of people or making things that sell. Rather, I want to share my feelings in a genuine way that invites others to feel and enjoy themselves in my work.

Kelly Douramacos

Working on a large scale, and playing with light and shadow, Kelly’s strengths include oil painting, watercolor, drawing, mixed media work and photography. She has shown works or entered them in juried contests since 2000. She is currently working on pieces for her upcoming show later this year called “Alternate Endings” where she will tell the story of life after death through fabric panels and paint.

Miranda Byrd

I am a passionate, art-filled, nature-appreciating, rock-collecting, music(al)-loving, existential-questioning, book-reading, human rights-fighting, person ready to burst at the seams with love, laughter, and a bit of sass.  Art has always been a big part of my life; whether that be in the form of poetry, painting, drawing, singing, pottery, or resin. I always strive to learn more about different techniques, styles, art medias, etc.
